Library Nature Walkway
Thank you to Victor Bojarski for his hard work and dedication in cleaning up and beautifying the library's nature walkway as his Eagle Scout Project.
The walkway is now open for you to enjoy. Stop by and take a stroll and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.

The library is celebrating 20 years in our lovely building. A special Thank You to Andy & Anna Mae D'Elia.
Help us celebrate by donating $20 to our Adopt-a-Book program. We'll put your name on a book plate for a new book purchased with the funds.
Make plans to join us for a birthday celebration on Saturday, June 7 from 9-noon.
We'll celebrate with games, crafts, & refreshments. Scotland's Poet Laureate, Susan Powers, will read a special poem to commemorate the day.

Pollinator Program

Children of all ages are welcome to join us for a presentation, story, and craft about the pollinators in the garden.

News from Scotland's Poet Laureate - Susan Powers
Susan is helping the library celebrate 20 years in our glorious building with a special poetry reading on Saturday, June 7 at 10 a.m. as part of our "birthday" celebration.
Stop by the library in May and June to see the stunning Ekphrastic Poetry (poems inspired by visual art) that students created during Susan's visit to the Parish Hill High School in April 2025. Also, 2024 work by Scotland Public Library teens and Parish Hill High School students can be found on the Children & Teen page of this website.
Susan has done readings at local libraries, attended a poetry seminar, and was awarded a two week writers residency fellowship in 2025.
